After using every other OS, I'm about to purchase a neat Asus Transformer Book T100TA with Windows 8.1

Although a fast eMMC (similar to SSD) drive, the RAM of only 2GB worries me.

I'm aware nLite is available for Win8. But is there are a way or guide somewhere to slimdown on Win8 resources without the hassle of a reinstall? Like there was with Win7?

I bet they should be but you are already probably reinstalled them for real. So I do not know where it going here anyway. It's 2019 already and that's really it. You probably even have something like Windows 10 already. Thanks in advance.
