Well as i said before i would have some things for everyone and here they are.

Fasterfox has consistently been one of the regulars in the most popular extensions on the Firefox addons site. And with good reason, the speed increase using Firefox is tremendous.

Why?

When I initially used Fasterfox, it was one of the first plugins I installed on my Firefox and I didn't really stop to bother with it, apart from setting it to "Turbo" mode. Then, recently, I was forced to re-do my laptop from scratch (Windows kept BSODing on me with a DEP violation - I'd tell you more, but it would be both a digression and a discussion filled with jargonesque oddities). Imagine my surprise when my web surfing experience pretty much felt like I was crawling around like a hundred year old turtle northward bound on an expressway. I'd forgotten all about Faster fox and my browser was feeling really, really slow.

That's pretty much all I can say about Fasterfox. Gotta have it, gotta set it in Turbo mode and then you can forget all about it. It doesn't turn up much on the Firefox user interface (you can turn off the page load timer that appears on your status bar).

How?

There's not much UI to bother with, in Fasterfox. There's just this options screen which lets you choose what speed mode you want to operate Fasterfox in. Turbo gives the fastest experience but it does end up hammering the web server serving the site you're on, especially if you're a Ctrl + click link opening maniac like I am.

Here are some long parts to tweaking firefox to make it load pages faster and images

******
Browsing super fast. To use them go to the search bar or address bar and type about:config

To edit settings bellow use these steps:
1. Open Mozilla FireFox
2. In the address bar type: about:config or aboutlugins for plugin paths

Below are tweaks, which categorised into each computer situation

**Quick Settings**
user_pref("network.http.pipelining", true);
user_pref("network.http.pipelining.firstrequest", true);
user_pref("network.http.pipelining.maxrequests", ;
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 0);

These are settings that enable Pipelining which makes firefox do multiple data requests at once, which speed things up a bit and improves page time loads and images loading quicker.

user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", ;
user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", 65536);

Fast Computer, not so fast connection

This configuration is more suited to people without ultra fast connections. We are not talking about dial up connections but slower DSL / Cable connections.

user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 2250000);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 750000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 750000);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 4;

user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", ;
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 0);
user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", 65536);

Fast Computer, Slow Connection (dial-up)

user_pref("browser.xul.error_pages.enabled", true);
user_pref("content.interrupt.parsing", true);
user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 3000000);
user_pref("content.maxtextrun", 8191);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 750000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 750000);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 32);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections-per-server", ;
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy", ;
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", 4);
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 0);
user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", 65536);

Slow Computer, Fast Connection

user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 3000000);
user_pref("content.notify.backoffcount", 5);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 1000000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 1000000);
user_pref("content.maxtextrun", 4095);
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 1000);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 4;
user_pref("network.http.max-connections-per-server", 16);
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy", 16);
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", ;
user_pref("dom.disable_window_status_change", true);

Slow Computer, Slow Connection

We have entered the doldrums of the dial-up user
user_pref("content.max.tokenizing.time", 2250000);
user_pref("content.notify.interval", 750000);
user_pref("content.notify.ontimer", true);
user_pref("content.switch.threshold", 750000);
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 750);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections", 32);
user_pref("network.http.max-connections-per-server", ;
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy", ;
user_pref("network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server", 4);
user_pref("dom.disable_window_status_change", true);

More tweaks below

More extrema settings but can work both ways faster and slower

J
ust a heads up these settings make you download sites considerably faster, BUT they put a great deal of overload on the sites you visit

2) type in "about:config" the address bar and then hit enter

You'll see a whole load of options here you will need to change some of the values.
These ones:

network.http.max-connections = 64
network.http.max-connections-per-server= 20
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server= 10
network.http.pipelining = true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 100 or 200 (choose one)
nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0
network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0

if you can't find "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" your going have to make it. Just right click and hit new integer.

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 10
network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
network.http.proxy.version = 1.0

now close down firefox and start it up again.

the settings with the *** in it seem to work the best but everyones pc is set up different and have different connection speeds broadband and so on. But i am posting them all as i said because different pc set up and different connection types require different set ups.

Well people theres a bit to keep you going for a bit will post more info soon as i am working on my website and doing many things am not going to be posting everything here i have for Firefox as a lot more about firefox and other things is whats going on my site.

Some more info will be posted here when i have chance but for now hope this little bit of info will keep you going for the time been.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

hmm, could've sworn I've seen that list somewhere else before... Anyways, very good list to speed up firefox. Although I've got to say, the new 3.6a6 not only looks nicer but is a lot faster too. don't think any tweaking will be necessary!

I am not using any software to increase speed of mozilla browser.The best way which I use is to remove and uninstall the mozilla browser from control panel and then again reinstall.I hope, it will work for you and you will never get any complaint for atleast 2 months.

You should install latest Firefox, v29 or newer. It is much faster than previous versions.
